Gjógv is situated 67 km from Thorshavn – on hour’s drive, 75 km from the Airport and 45 km from Klaksvík.
The roads leading to Gjógv are all asphalted, so the drive to Gjógv is safe and comfortable, although the roads are narrow. If you are travelling without a car, there is a bus service covering the area. All you need to do is to take bus number 400 to Oyrabakka, change bus to number 201 which will take you all the way to Gjógv.
